Footy Awards Voting Closes Tonight!
Team Soccer Sheet will be at the last home match for the Carolina Ascent match this Saturday as the polls close on the Year End 2024 Footy Awards.
Don’t forget that voting for the Footy Awards ends tonight at midnight.
We’ve heard feedback from folks about the long ballot, so for those of you who only want to vote in our Charlotte teams and Community categories, you can access a shorter ballot here:
Soccer Sheet will be at the Carolina Ascent FC match at 7:00 PM at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, while still covering Charlotte FC’s match against the Chicago Fire at Bank of America Stadium.
It’s a critical match for the Ascent against the Tampa Bay Sun, the number two team on the table. If the Ascent win or draw, they secure first place in the USL Super League - and home field advantage in the playoffs. If the Ascent lose, Tampa Bay has one match left to secure the title.

We’ll be handing out free stickers and local soccer swag at our booth, with giveaways including signed memorabilia and cool stuff from four years worth of covering soccer in the Carolinas. We’ll also have a tablet and QR codes set up so anyone can cast their vote in the Footy Awards before we close the ballot on Saturday night.
Right now, 5 of the 8 nominees for Carolina Ascent FC MVP 2024-2025 have over 10% of the vote, so it’s anyone’s race. Don’t forget to cast your vote before midnight tonight!
